What's New With Georgia?
Georgia is a smart gal. She enjoys playing with her dolls and doll house and occasionally has "two-year-old moments." When one such moment was affecting Scotty and he was ready to cry, Kris Anne told him, "Don't worry, she's just being a two-year-old." Later when another such moment was affecting Kris Anne, Scotty told her, "Don't worry, she's just being a two-year-old." A few days later when Kris Anne and Scotty were both frustrated with a yet another such moment, Georgia began to laugh and said, "I'm being a little two-year-old, huh Mama."
What's New With Ryan?
Ryan is amazing. He has been scoring in the 90's on his tests and even got 100% on a very difficult test last week. (He wouldn't tell you, so I will!) After after a few weeks of hardly seeing the kids, he came home from school at 4:00pm last Thursday and spent the whole evening with us. Ryan & Scotty were a team and Georgia and Mommy were a team, so for an hour we had a cleaning competition. After we ate dinner, Ryan blew up our air matress and made a huge fort in our living room. The couch and TV were inside the fort, so Scotty & Georgia each took a side of the couch, Joseph was in his bassinet and Ryan and I took the air matress. We watched a movie and slept in the fort, then made a big breakfast the next morning before Ryan had to go back to school. It was so fun and left each of us feeling rejuvenated.
What's New With Kris Anne?
I'm doing less and smiling more. Instead of the strict daily schedule we stuck to last year, we're eliminating some of the good, but less important things we used to do. I have some great friends here who are worth moving to Kirksville for. Last night for the combined Young Men & Young Women activity, we did skits. I didn't realize that the other adult leaders were just planning on watching, but I sure had fun performing!
What's New With Joseph?
Joseph is 23 inches and cooing like crazy. He smiles easily and has a dimple on his right cheek. He slept ten hours last night - what a blessing! Joseph is very portable, yet loves his routine. Yesterday we put away his 0-3 month clothes and washed all of his 3-6 month clothes. Is he that big already . . . sniffle, sniffle! It's fun to show Scotty and Georgia pictures of Scotty wearing the same clothes and watching them compare the two.
What's New With Scotty?
Scotty is sweet, fun, and loves to be read to. Yesterday one of the books he chose was Snow White. He was interested in the "Who is the fairest of them all" part. When we finished reading, he said, "Mom . . . Snow White isn't the most beautiful anymore, you and Georgia are."
