MINNESOTA - HERE WE COME!

Each year the Ostvig boys go to the national wrestling championships. This year they were in Phillidelphia. Uncle Buddy called us to say he was passing through northern Ohio on his way and wondered where our house was from there - 4 hours south! Though he hadn't slept much, Uncle Buddy stopped by anyway. The kids hadn't missed a day of school all year, other than a quick sickness, but Uncle Buddy's visit was worth missing school for. He joined us for lunch, told us stories about his mom, and was on his way. What a treasure. We will remember his thoughtful visit forever.A few days after Uncle Buddy's visit, we received a call that Aunt Nancy had passed away. This was expected, but sad because she is so wonderful. Kris Anne really wanted to go, but debated as it's 17 hours away and there was no way Ryan could miss work. Tex's family was on their way back from the wrestling competition and offered to caravan out with us. YES! Though we didn't meet up until we reached their house, just knowing they were behind us kept us going with confidence. The kids were amazing on the trip - very well-behaved! Yippee - storytime!

We stayed with Tex & Donna's family for 4 days. They welcomed us with such love. Each night they read stories to our kids. They are a family who truly lives the gospel.

Sweet Uncle Jim!

It was thrilling to see Grandpa Johnson again.

Our kids call Dave "Uncle Skittles" because he always fills them with candy!

One of the highlights of our trip was spending time at Jim & Kathy's house. This is the house Grandma Georgia grew up in. Kris Anne treasured the time her kids could spend in the same place her mom had spent so much time. All of the siblings except Georgia & Jack

Fun with cousins!
